On day 6, we visited another of the must see England items from Mark's list. Luckily, here is what the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has to say about Place 19 - Glastonbury:
"Glastonbury had long been associated with myths of ancient kings, witchcraft and wart curing, and had now been selected as the site of the Guide’s new financial records office, and indeed, ten years worth of financial records were transferred to a magic hill just outside the city mere hours before the Vogons arrived."
We had incredibly beautiful weather for our trip to the mystical places of Somerset. In addition to the magical hill (Glastonbury Tor), we visited Stonehenge, Glastonbury Abbey, Avebury Henge, and the Chalice Well.
In Glastonbury, Mark had his first authentic English tea, including buttered crumpets!
